AW11 Looks… Margiela

Margiela’s conceptual take on menswear lives on in this AW11 collection: trim corduroy suits, snugg knits and sleek blazers give place to oversized bold outerwear and loose pants. A vibrant mix of classic pariesien sophistication with glimpses of futuristic pieces such as the patchwork coats with mixed fabrics or technical zipped trousers, that keeps us coming back for more.

AW11 Looks… Band Of Outsiders

With a collection inspired by 70s California rock climbers portrayed in the book The Stonemasters, Scott Sternberg dropped us more of his play it cool styles for AW11, in a presentation show that had the models literally hanging from ropes down to the runway. Native american patterns could be found in the heavy sweaters, long scarves and fingerless gloves while some jackets were slightly padded and others long and furry. The color scheme presented the usual youthfulness of greens, reds and blues, topped off by the theme’s earthy tones. Clothes were smart as ever with the hats, sunglasses and overall styling recalling images from the book itself.

Adam Kimmel X Carhartt AW11 Lookbook

It was with high acclaim that we received the first Adam Kimmel X Carhartt collaboration earlier in the season. Not only for the perfect mix of Kimmel’s high end understated outlook with Carhartt’s american workwear tradition, but also because it consists on a series of smart everyday clothes, you can wear on and on over the winter season. The collection’s lookbook shows a group of bike riders fully embodying the Adam Kimmel X Carhartt spirit. If you’re into the imagery, the clothes, some bike roar and country music, check also the video below.

AW11 Looks… Hixsept

Our first Hixsept collection is finally here. The new clothes are already getting their place on the racks at the shop and the pole position online. What better way to celebrate this than to enjoy Hixsept’s artful lookbook for AW11, showing there’s more to this brand than the mere cloth and thread their items are made (in Portugal) from. Paint splattered floors, wooden ladders and scattered artistic elements make the backdrop for nice Liberty print shirts, oiled canvas jackets and colorful pants and tees. All imagery has the art direction of Hixsept’s founders, Aurélien Arbet and Jérémie Egry, who’s other work is also worth checking.

Neil Barrett AW10 Looks

Following a tradition of precisely tailored clothing, Neil Barrett does it again for AW10 with his Iconic Hybrid Collection. We’re not sure
what it means precisely but we sure like the way he mixed different kinds of fabric and created double layer effects with the collars and lapels. Leather is a returning guest in his collections and this time showed up either in the jacket sleeves or as patch jobs on the t-shirts and trousers. The usual color palette of blacks, greys and whites for a definitely sleek rock ‘n roll vibe.

Margiela AW10 Looks

Masculinity was the main idea behind Maison Martin Margiela AW10 collection. The usual subversive plays and tricks are to be expected with patterns ranging from stripes to checks, prints and white finishings. Reversible duffle coats and trench coats, classic cut wool pants, nappa leather t-shirts and replica biker jackets were key pieces that accentuated the strong male silhouette. Our Legacy AW10 Looks “Génération Perdue”

Our Legacy’s inspiration for AW10 is found in the simple everyday life, finding the small forgotten things and bringing them back to contemporary life. Icon free and in search of unique garments and style, while free of seasonal trends and themes, “Génération Perdue”
is a celebration of all cultural differences between people, blurring the borders between countries, ethnicities and cultural patterns around
the world. Our Legacy is always one of our favorite collections here at the shop, for its simple yet researched approach but, above all,
because it feels so natural, personal and close.
