After working with clothes for the last 14 years, coming up with fresh concepts on how to display pieces for windows, editorials or just around the shop can pose a daily challenge. On our continuous search for inspiration we came upon Zoe Leonard’s work, an artist/photographer born and raised in New York. After dropping out of school at 15, she started taking pictures of her surroundings, which for the most part, consisted of NYC. Among her work, we couldn’t help to connect to the series where she portrays clothes displayed on markets and fairs, always with a keen sense for capturing fabric based volumes and shapes, otherwise elusive to the untrained eye. Here are some of our favourites from her book “Analogue”.
