Have you ever thought what would be like walking on clouds? Well, our guess is that Paul Smith has, and decided to give it a go at reproducing the feeling. Cloud is a very light canvas sneaker finished with contrast eyelets and the Paul Smith signature spread across the back of the vulcanized sole. The colorful print insoles and multi stripe webbing at the heels make it look like there’s a rainbow over these clouds…

Outdoors shootings are always much more fun then studio ones so, every chance we got, we take the camera outside. The purpose was to
show some of the ts(s) SS10 shirts under the soothing evening sun and, this time we did it in our own backyard. The soft and fresh double gauze fabric makes these shirts a very valuable ally in the hot summer days ahead. If you’re more into plaid and wanna stay even fresher, opt for the gingham ultra thin cotton and linen mix.

Acne filmmaker Richard Brandon-Cox teamed up with jewelry designer and stylist Michelle Jank to create this film of Acne’s SS10
presentation at the Barbican Curve Gallery in London.
The presentation itself was directed by Acne Paper editor in chief/creative director Thomas Persson and featured wall projections of an
unique video installation by artist Katerina Jebb, with images of a Swarovski Solitaire crystal being put through a scanner. This, while a
lone pianist could be seen playing Erik Satie in the background… Inspiring.

People are always talking about how great it would be if we had women’s clothes. It’s not that we don’t like women or even
women’s clothes – We love both!, but that’s just not where we are at the moment. (Sorry girls…)
Despite that and in order to balance with all the male presence in our photo shoots, this time we chose a girl to feature one
of the most prominent of male symbols – the tie.
Playing with the typical male preppy looks, with the oxford shirts and the sweaters draped over the shoulders, the plan was
to show the Paul Smith Dog Pattern Tie in more informal ways. Did we achieve that?! We still don’t know, but it sure was fun…

To tell you the truth neither did we but, it somehow feels very appropriate to the new Converse Jack Purcell Boat Shoe for SS10, with the distinctive Jack Purcell signature smile making every pair recognizable at a distance. We honestly can’t say we’ve been fans of The National from the start but, ever since Alligator came out we went back and bought all
their previous albums, remaining faithful to this day. What we like about them is the raw power and honesty they bring to their songs and performances as well as their unmistakable elegance as a band. In the first video to come out of their amazing new album High Violet,
lead man and vocalist Matt Berninger displays a true sense of style and way of dressing/wearing clothes. Enjoy…

The Denim Gallery Biarritz collection is all about handmade bio cotton t-shirts and nice prints. Staying true to their core eco values, the brand’s engagement with the raw material is such that they reject the use of any dye in the production process. For SS10 they continue to go about the world’s most carried item and pursue the collaboration with well known graphic designers of the likes of Leslie David, in order to create new exciting prints. With models like “Hood”, evoking the “Once Upon a Time in America” poster or “Mick & Co”, a somewhat deranged Mickey Mouse eating Campbell’s Soup and drinking Coke while partying in Las Vegas, they make funny, light and easy to wear pieces, staying true to the brand’s free and unique spirit.

Restraint seems to have been the key word for the Raf Simons SS10 collection. Like snakes coil their bodies around the prey, snake shaped belts coiled over coats at waist and in arms and necks. Accessories played an important role in the collection, which also featured fine exposé tailoring and sheer tops with snake prints creating a tattooing effect.
All without losing control…

Widely known for its subliminal, often subversive ways of approaching clothing, Maison Martin Margiela has now come up with t-shirts and shirts bearing front pockets shaped as cigarette packs. In a time when smoking is not so cool, this will probably turn that around again.

We’re almost making an habit out of this. Comes friday and there’s a new perfume at the shop. This time it’s Diptyque’s Vetyverio, and as the name kindly suggests, it’s a vetiver based perfume, in which this highly masculine scent plays an intimate adagio with the most feminine of all flowers: the rose. The result is ambivalence, elegance and sensuality in a woody fragrance for both men and women.

We all get that sometimes, we wonder about fashion and what’s it really about. It’s alright,… after all, questioning is an important part
of human condition, right?! Then, almost like a heavenly sent message, we see something that really puts things back into place again.
