Por Vocacao is a contemporary menswear store in Porto, a charming and historic city in the north of Portugal.
Like most people, we grew up listening to music, watching movies, videoclips, traveling, hanging out with friends — having fun. Being so young when we started the store in 1997, we didn’t fully realize that the way we chose the collections, looked at the clothes, picked the best pieces, were a reflection of all the things we were doing, of all those influences. Today we see it more clearly that if you like fashion you’ll probably like cinema, music, photography…
When it comes down to creating a personal style or just an everyday look we believe that a picture from the 20’s, a movie from the 60’s, a wild 80’s videoclip or your last trip, can be as inspiring as the hippest, coolest trend of the season. All these elements allow us to blur among trends, seasons, brands, new, old or unknown stuff. As a store we believe in establishing common grounds between fashion, individuality and style. That is our aim.
